World of Imagination

We live in a house full of imagination. It's really fun. Who doesn't love an escape from reality?

For about a year now, Willow's bedtime stories have included the many adventures of Otto the dog and his friends. She and her daddy made up all the friends--there's Tiki Torch the mouse, Lawnmower the cat, Sparky the pig and T-Rex, Pink Dinosaur and Orange Dinosaur (who make up the Dinosaur Posse!). Others have come and gone, but these are the staples. They have been on some tripped out adventures that have included visiting elves in trees, trolls in caves, the zoo, children's museum, lion's house and pretty much everything else!

Now that Willow is older, we are starting to hear some adventures from her. Yesterday, she told me a story about how all of the characters went to the buffet at the indian restaurant and ate so much food that they grew bigger and bigger! They busted through the ceiling and into the clouds. They were so big that they got to swing from the moon and play catch with the stars. I loved it. Willow uses words like "magical" and "enchanted" all day long. She reminds me that it all is magical and enchanted--you just have to look around!

Dressing up is a favorite activity around here. Autumn included!

Willow came out of the living room yesterday dressed as a "surfer girl".
