D n A

It's always great when close friends come home for a nice long visit--although I always wish the visits were longer. Especially nowadays when we have small children to tend to. It can definitely be difficult to reconnect on the level you desire.

We love having cool places to visit when we go see friends--San Fran, Florida, LA...but we definitely miss the community that we COULD have should everyone we love live in the same place. We've come the closest to a community of friends here in Indiana--but it seems a challenge to find people with similar lifestyles, values, tastes. It makes us even more grateful for the wonderful souls already in our lives.

Two such souls that recently graced us with their presence were friends Dabney and Aya. This time around, everyone stayed healthy so we had more hanging out time (not to mention a nice ladies' night out sans kids). They are getting set to move to Hawaii, so we were glad to spend some time with them.

Digging for fossils at the museum.
This is the only picture I could get of all three kids at the museum. It's blurry but awfully cute!

Cereal makes the best afternoon snack! This was the only time we had all 3 (Aya, Bella and Willow) sitting and quiet!
