Autumn and Willow are doing awesome. Autumn is trying out new words (some we recognize, some we don't!), trying to walk faster so she doesn't have to prefer crawling, and trying to be just like a "big" kid. Her face lights up any time she's doing something the bigger kids get to do. She LOVES sitting in a chair at hers and Willow's little table, she loves to hold the WHOLE cracker or waffle in her hand as she munches, and loves to try to keep up with the girls when they skip around (Willow Bella and Mona, that is!).
Willow is starting to enjoy school more and more, and we are breathing a sigh of relief (and seeing some growth on her part). She came home the other day and said "como estas Mommy?--that's Spanish!!". She is constantly trying new things now--going down even bigger slides, trying gymnastic feats like headstands and handstands, and recognizing a bad mood and changing it around! She said that when she gets sad, she just thinks of the yummy food that is waiting for her back home and then she's happy! Whatever it takes!
I've picked up some work outside the house. I'm currently tutoring some of my sister's students in Algebra II. The pay is good, I get out of the house AND I use my brain! Matt is loving his time with the girls, too. Of course the first day I leave, they sleep over two hours!!! Go figure!
Matt has managed to strike an excellent balance of work and home time. So far so good--don't want to jinx it...just offer my many thanks and gratitude :)
Lots more on the agenda--school picnic, prenatal yoga training, game night at Claire and Val's. Not to mention all the activity surrounding the move of our great friends Hunt, Bella and Cory (and newest to arrive sometime in March/April). We are SO sad our friends are leaving us--more on that later.
Going out to dinner for the 3rd night in a row with Hunt and Bella (and Mona came along with us this time!).
Wait for me!!
Some last days at the pool!
Ring around the rosie, just like old times!
Matt told them to pretend to catch the imaginary pancakes he was throwing at them. We have a whole series of these shots. Too cute.
Grandma and Autumn going for a train ride at a festival in town.
Willow having her fun on the huge slide!
Autumn wants to be just like her big sis.
Great sisters and best friends!
