Blessingway

Yesterday, I had the fortunate opportunity to host a Blessingway for Hunt. It's a ceremony offering blessings to the mom-to-be and the new baby, adapted from numerous Native American traditions. I can't emphasize enough the spiritual ascension one gets from sharing in a ceremony with amazing women.

The only *planned* activities included invoking the four directions, a guided meditation, and an altar for which each person brought an item and shared with Hunt. The rest unfolded exactly as it should have, with each person offering a bit of themselves.

What was the MOST beautiful part was witnessing Hunt receive all the love and blessings from her friends and family. She is such a loyal, sweet, thoughtful friend and the number of tears shed were just a testament to that. I can't believe she's moving this Friday!! (more on that later).
