Lots went into preparing for the holidays. Christmas is definitely fun with the little ones, but it's hard to not get caught up in ALL of the potential "tradition" trappings. We tried to stay mellow--did the Santa thing, bought and decorated the tree, and made the sugar cookies. I'm sure we'll find our own traditions, too, as the girls get older.
Christmas cookies are not the easiest cookies to make, and vegan ones add even more challenge! They came out pretty yummy--enough so that we felt comfortable sharing them with the neighbors.
Look at that face! My one complaint is that the natural food colorings only gave us pink, purple and white as our color options--not too Christmasy!
Yup, we picked the snowiest day of the year to buy our tree.

As one might guess, most of the ornaments ended up on the bottom half of the tree!

Autumn is crazy about her snow boots. She does laps around the house when I put them on her.
